I grew up reading French-Belgian classics such as Asterix, Tintin, and Lucky Luke, not to mention The Extraordinary Adventures of Adèle Blanc-Sec. I guess some of it rubbed off on me when it comes to storytelling. Les Adventures de Inspector Rou Rou is a nice little homage to those awesome graphic-novels, and since Curly is originally from Irland, I kinda figured he also grew up with those kinds of comics.
