It kind of irks me that this is not the thirteenth chapter, but I hadn’t decided on the title when I sketched the story, so it ended up being “The 13th Floor” but not Chapter 13. Well, cest la vie.
The comedic nature of Schumann was partly based on actor Ron Leibman, especially his facial features (I did my best, okay). I mostly knew him from FRIENDS and Archer, but I found his humour and demeanor funny enough to take inspiration from. As for Night Raider, he’s a juxtaposition of numerous superheroes and vigilantes from comics, games, and movies. The meathead who solves things with violence and brute strength.
