This story is inspired by old tales of how the dead get their revenge in the end for past misdeeds. I took inspiration from old comics such as Adventures into Darkness, Tales from the Crypt, and many more. Classic storytellers who helped form this and many more of Curly’s misadventures are H.P. Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, and Stephen King, among many others. There is a sense of macabre poetic beauty of having the dead come back to life and seek revenge against their killers. And adding Curly ensures chaos and sarcasm!
